For those of you who were unable to get a copy of The Northern Echo yesterday, our school Early Years Reception Classes were on the front page of the First Class supplement. A fantastic photograph!

Eco Warriors at Bishop FM
Two of our Year 2 boys along with Mrs Harnaman were on the local radio station of Bishop FM on the morning of Monday 17th July. We were invited to go along to tell everyone about our recent Green Flag award that we have achieved.
You can listen again to them all on the following link:
School Rights Respecting School Council
The school council have been working with Mrs Guy and Mrs Reeve to design and put up some signs around the school grounds with regards to the children’s rights.
Navy Helicopter on School Grounds
An amazing experience for the children today when one of our parents brought a Navy helicopter and crew to land on the school field. This is something the children will remember forever! Thank you from everyone at Cockton Hill Infants’ School and Nursery.
Outdoor Classroom Day
Fun in the sun! The whole school including the nursery spent most of the day outdoors building dens, making bird feeders, planting flowers and vegetables and creating bug hotels. The children had a fantastic time and learning such a lot!
Well done!
Congratulations to this week’s achievers which included the whole of class 3 and 4 for their fantastic behaviour on their trip to Shildon Railway Museum on Wednesday. Well done to everyone.
